Exploring the vibrant streets of Yokohama in Yakuza Like a Dragon offers players an expansive world filled with unforgettable side activities and quirky distractions. Among these engaging challenges is the Please Find My Cat substory, which tasks Ichiban Kasuga with tracking down nine missing felines scattered across Isezaki Ijincho. Initiating this quest not only provides a refreshing break from the intense turn-based combat but also rewards players with significant financial incentives and a powerful new Poundmates delivery service.
Unlocking the Feline Search Substory
Before you can begin your city-wide search, you must first progress to Chapter 5 of the main storyline and access the Part-time Hero office. Speaking with Hiro, the manager of the operation, will trigger substory number 12 and introduce you to his dilemma regarding his escaped pets. Once the conversation concludes, the first nine felines will officially spawn throughout the different districts of the map for you to track down manually.
It is important to note that you cannot find these animals prior to activating this specific assignment from Hiro. Each feline makes a distinct meowing sound when you get close, serving as an excellent auditory cue to help you pinpoint their precise hiding spots. Paying close attention to the local environment and exploring hidden alleys will ensure a smooth tracking experience.
Navigating the Nine Initial Locations
The missing felines are cleverly hidden across various landmarks, requiring thorough exploration of both northern and southern districts. For instance, you can find a white cat resting peacefully near the entrance of the local batting cages in the Commercial District. Another pet is tucked away inside an empty green garbage bin located along Misaki Street, requiring a keen eye to spot from the main road.
As you venture toward the upscale areas, check the eastern side of the map near Chinatown, where another feline hides on a low wall near the intersection. Moving towards the central hub, explore the quiet park areas and investigate under the public benches where these small creatures often seek shelter from the bustling foot traffic. Tracking each one down systematically ensures you do not waste valuable in-game days backtracking through previously cleared neighborhoods.
Claiming the Ultimate Reward
After successfully interacting with all nine initial felines, you must return to the Part-time Hero office to report your progress to Hiro. Upon delivering the news, Hiro will express his immense gratitude and reward your efforts with a hefty bonus of two million yen. However, the mission is not entirely complete, as he will suddenly realize his absolute favorite companion, Robson, is still missing somewhere in the city.
To conclude the collection guide, you must head directly to the northernmost point of the map near Hamakita Park to find the final animal resting on a light post. Successfully rescuing Robson will officially complete the entire questline and unlock him as a powerful summonable ally in battle. This substantial reinforcement can drastically change your combat strategies when tackling the game's challenging endgame dungeons.
